The Fire Museum of Greater Chicago was incorporated in 1997 as a not-for-profit corporation for the purpose of creating such an institution in the Chicago Area.
At present, the museum is in a temporarily location on the third floor of the Saint Gabriel Catholic School (no elevator). The museum holds an open house on the first and third Saturday of each month.
Special visits by appointment can be arranged for schools and other groups (see contact information below).
