Overview

Hoffman Estates is located in the counties of Cook and Kane, approximately 30 miles northwest of Chicago. It covers 19.9 square miles and is home to 50,871 people. The Parks & Recreation Department provides first class parks, programs, facilities, and other services, including the Seascape Aquatic Center, the Prairie Stone Fitness Center, and the Ice Arena.

The village now serves as the headquarters location for the Sears Holdings Corporation, is home to the Chicago Hounds of the United Hockey League and the Chicago Storm of the Major Indoor Soccer League. It will also be home to the Chicago Shamrox of the National Lacrosse League and a United Indoor Football team.

Relocation Packets: This packet provides new residents and new employees with helpful information about the community and its many resources.

Fishing Derby: Fishing enthusiasts of all ages have the opportunity to compete for cash and prizes on a Saturday in June...and enjoy a great family event right in their own hometown!

Random Acts of Kindness: A great opportunity to remember that a little caring goes a long way. The Chamber celebrates this national event by coordinating delivery of Valentines made by local school children to shut-ins and elderly residents in the community.

Santa's Arrival: Kids of all ages look forward to Santa's arrival at local shopping centers on a gleaming red fire truck. Santa has time for an unhurried talk with little ones, and parents are invited to bring a camera to take pictures.

Business Under the Big Top: The perfect opportunity for residents to learn more about local businesses and the products and services they offer, all under a 'Big Top.' This community event also offers family attractions, entertainment and safety awareness exhibits.
