Join the Grant Park Music Festival, the only free, municipally-supported classical music festival of its kind in the nation and hear the Grammy® nominated Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus, now in their 74th season.
Bill McGlaughlin, host of WFMT’s popular Exploring Music program, narrates a concert of American works spanning 125 years, beginning in the post Civil War era and ending with the music of today. Highlighted are traditional works by Chadwick, Gershwin and Bernstein, to the mavericks of today, including John Adams and Chicago composers.
