Glessner House Museum is a National Historic Landmark, designed by Henry Hobson Richardson and built in 1887. neighboring Clarke House . Museum programming examines the architecture, art, history and culture of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries through lectures, discussions, performance events and exhibits.
Directions:
Via Dan Ryan Expressway (90/94) from the south - Exit at "Chinatown/22nd Street" Turn right (east) onto 22nd Street (also called Cermak Road). Go to Indiana Avenue and then turn left (north). Proceed up Indiana Avenue to 18th Street and turn right (east). Go a 1/2 block to the GHM Tour Center.
Via Kennedy Expressway (90/94) from the north - As you drive south beyond the downtown exits, you'll pick up the Dan Ryan (follow the signs to "Indiana") and continue south to the 18th Street exit. At the end of the ramp, turn left (east) onto 18th Street. Continue east approximately 1 1/4 miles to the GHM Tour Center.
Hours: Wednesday-Sunday at noon, 1 and 2pm
Payment Info: Adult - $7.00. Student/Senior - $6.00. Children (ages 5 -12) - $4.00. Wednesday is FREE Day.
