On the University of Illinois at Chicago campus commemorate the work of social wellfare pioneer and peace advocate Jane Addams. Housed in two original Hull-House buildings, the museum is an internationally recognized symbol of multi-cultural unerstanding, educational innovation and social service. Orignal furnishings, paintings, photographs and rotating exhibits recreate the history of the settlement and the work of its residents. Admission is Free.
Hours: Tuesday - Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday noon to 4 p.m. Closed Mondays and Saturdays
Directions: The Jane Addams Hull-House Museum is located on the campus of the University of Illinois at Chicago, 800 S. Halsted Street, Chicago. It is easily reached by public transportation, the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) and the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-90). Parking is available at Halsted and Taylor Street garage.
Group tours of 7-35 people are available with advance reservations. Larger groups may be split into multiple, simultaneous or consecutive tours. Call 312.413.5353.
