The Ukrainian National Museum collection consists of over 1,140 artifacts including those related to traditional folk arts, agricultural tools, artwork, musical instruments, trophies, and much more.
Our library boasts over 20,000 titles including rare books, author autographed editions, monographs and emigré communities, contemporary editions and over 600 periodicals and newspapers. The collection is classified in the language of publication, usually Ukrainian.
The archives house material about Ukrainian communities, particularly in Chicago, including Ukrainian performance groups, national youth chapters, veteran and fraternal organizations, local church archives, 1933 Chicago World's Fair memorabilia, personal manuscripts of civic leaders and an extensive photographic collection.
Easter eggs, necklaces made from beads, and dolls and mannequins in costumes from 26 different Ukrainian regions. The Ukrainian National Museum is an interesting stop to any visit to Chicago, and one that won't be found anywhere else in the country.
