As part of an overall plan for the Midway Plaisance, a permanent skating rink was constructed as a joint effort of the University of Chicago, the City of Chicago, and the Chicago Park District.

The Olympic-size rink, on the Midway between Ellis and Woodlawn avenues, is accompanied by a skate rental area, a caf?, a rooftop observation deck, an elevator, and a 2,800 square-foot warming house. Its fantastic!!

In summer, the facility will be used for roller skating, cultural productions, and community festivals.

12:30 - 2:30 pm, 3:00 - 5:00 pm and 5:30 - 7:30 pm Saturday and Sunday
